ARONBERG ANNOUNCES BROWARD COUNTY STEERING COMMITTEE
Broward Democratic leaders line up to support
Democrat Dave Aronberg for Attorney General

Tallahassee - A week after becoming the financial frontrunner in the Attorney General's race, Senator Dave Aronberg today announced a Broward County steering committee of political heavyweights in the most Democratic county in Florida.

Aronberg, who served as an Assistant Attorney General in Broward County under Attorney General Bob Butterworth, announced that Clerk of Courts Howard Forman, Broward County Mayor Ken Keechl and Property Appraiser Lori Parrish will co-chair the committee.

"The men and women on our steering committee represent a broad spectrum of Democratic leaders throughout Broward County," said Aronberg. "With their help, and the passionate grassroots support from so many others in the county, we are going to win Broward, win the Democratic primary in August, and become Florida's next Attorney General in November."

Mayor Keechl said he picked Aronberg because of his drive to become attorney general. "You're not going to find anybody who works harder than Dave," he said. "I know I'm backing a winner."

Property Appraiser Lori Parrish was one of the first high-profile Broward Democrats to announce her support for Aronberg for Attorney General. "I have known Dave since he was an assistant attorney general under Attorney General Bob Butterworth," Parrish said. "His experience fighting for consumers makes him the best possible choice to be Florida's next Attorney General."

The latest Broward Democratic leader to announce his support of Aronberg is Clerk of Courts Howard Forman. In announcing his support, Forman said, "Dave Aronberg has spent his career focused on the main priorities of the Attorney General: public safety and protecting consumers." Forman added that "I believe that Aronberg has the best chance of winning in November and ensuring that a Democrat is our next Attorney General."

Aronberg has also received the support of every Democratic Sheriff who has made an endorsement in this race, as well as the statewide Fraternal Order of Police.
