Recognition from Veterans to TIME Magazine

02/04/2010

It has been an eventful week: My ongoing efforts to strengthen our sex offender laws received national attention in TIME magazine, and I was honored to have received the Outstanding Legislative Award from the Disabled American Veterans of Florida.

As the Chair of the Senate's Military Affairs and Domestic Security Committee, I have worked with veterans, law enforcement and the men and women of the military to strengthen our State's port security laws to protect Florida from the modern threat of terrorism.

As Attorney General, I will continue my work to keep Floridians safe.

It has been my focus since I was an Assistant Attorney General in the economic crimes division, and continued during my service as a Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Treasury Department for international money laundering, and as a State Senator for the past 8 years.

We have become the frontrunner in this race not just because of our fundraising advantage, and not just because of the sweep of every Sheriff endorsement, but because my life's work has best prepared me for the job.

February is the final month to donate to our campaign before we stop fundraising for the 60-day legislative session. Please help me change Florida by contributing today.
