For several years, I served in our Florida Senate with now U.S. Representative Ron Klein. Ron was truly an effective and passionate advocate for the people of this state. It is such an honor to have the endorsement of this esteemed leader in our state.

"His legislative record embodies the commitment to public safety and consumer advocacy that we must demand of Florida's next attorney general. That's why today I proudly endorse Dave Aronberg."

-- U.S. Representative Ron Klein

Today, we are proud to announce that Sheriff Morris Young of Gadsden County has become the 13th Democratic Sheriff to endorse our Attorney General campaign -- and the first African American Sheriff to endorse a candidate in this race.

Sheriff Young today said:

"I am actively working to elect Dave Aronberg because he has proven leadership in protecting public safety and standing up for civil rights. We need an Attorney General who will do both, which is why I proudly endorse him."

Our sweep of Democratic Sheriff endorsements continued this week when we picked up the endorsement of our 11th consecutive Sheriff, Jackson County's Lou Roberts:

"Dave Aronberg has always listened to the views of the law enforcement community. His work on reducing gang violence and prescription drug abuse is especially important in rural communities like mine. I am proud to join all the other Sheriffs who have publicly endorsed him."
